Last weekend I had the extreme pleasure of visiting a local big cat rescue center. I took over 700 pictures and will probably be weeding through many favorites until my next visit! My dear hubby and I spent 2 hours clicking away (well, he pretended to click away... I think he took about 20 pictures and posed as a pretend photographer).
It was an experience I will never forget! I met Sugar, Sheba and Pookie. Two very memorable things happened - I talked to Sugar, the lioness... she and I are friends...we had a secret conversation... so secret I can't even tell you what it was about! The second cool thing was that Sheba allowed me to put my camera inside the fence and take close up pics with my macro lens. Super cool and scary at the same time but the handlers were keeping an eye on her and hey, I have insurance - on me and my equipment!
